
Dr. Shivendra Dwivedi MDCM, FRCPC
President
Dr.S.D.Dwivedi served as the Chief of Dept. of Anesthesia and President of the Chiefs of Department Committee for over 20 years at Santa Cabrini Hospital in Montreal.He is presently in charge of teaching medical students and residents and works as a senior anesthesiologist at the same institution. He graduated from McGill University with MDCM degree in 1982 and finishing his Anesthesia Residency at the Royal Victoria Hospital in 1987. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada since 1987.
He is President of the Freedom From Poverty Foundation which runs a charity school,medical clinics and a charity hospital in India. The Foundation has treated over 250,000 patients and over 15,000 students have obtained their high school diploma from their school. In recognition of this work he was awarded the “Humanitarian of the Year “ award in 2005 by the Indo-Canadian Chamber of Commerce, and the “Community Service Award “in 2015 by India Canada Association. He served as the Convenor of the Montreal Chapter prior to his induction as a member of the National Executive. Most recently Dr. Dwivedi received the Dr. Albert Chiricosta award for distinguished medical service to Santa Cabrini Hospital in 2020.

From the age of 17, Shalini, born and raised in Montreal, Canada, channeled her passion for women’s rights and social justice by dedicating her volunteering efforts towards Women’s & Children’s causes having grown up in a home where there was Domestic Abuse. More recently she has added Grief Awareness, Suicide Prevention & Mental Health Advocacy to her list of causes after losing her husband Anand to suicide.
A Youth Mentor at Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Greater Montreal, Coordinator/Counselor at the WIN Home (Women’s) Shelter in Mumbai, India run by the nuns of the Queen of Apostles Order and fundraising for the American Foundation For Suicide Prevention… just a few of her efforts to make the world a better place!

Aditya Tawatia is a dynamic individual, born and brought up in New Delhi and has ancestry from Western Uttar Pradesh, India, who came to Canada in 1995 and now has carved a niche for himself in the Canadian Diaspora. He is an accomplished businessman who devotes his time to social issues. He diligently works to strengthen the relationship between his birth country, India, and his adopted country Canada. His father, Shri Rajpal Shastri was a teacher and Aditya’s inspiration. He took it upon himself to spread awareness about India and inform Indians about Canada, its people and culture.
In 1997, as a publisher, Mr. Tawatia succeeded in making one of the oldest ethnic English weekly newspapers, “The Link,” as a brand. Through the medium of print media, Mr. Tawatia effortlessly worked to bring both the nations, Canada and India, and the Indo-Canadian community together.
Currently, he serves as President of Aditya Tawatia PREC* (Personal Real Estate Corporation), providing real estate residential services in Lower Mainland.
Aditya Tawatia is a founder of Yoga Health Expo, which is a not-for-profit entity to spread awareness about healthy living in a context with how we can be more responsible towards our mother earth and its beautiful creatures in accordance with pursuing a pious lifestyle such as “Yogic way of life”. Mr. Tawatia is wisely committed to addressing any course or raising any concern which adversely affects the Indo-Canadian diaspora.

Dr Shrivastava Amresh is in the field of academic and clinical Psychiatry for over 40 years.
He hold MD,DPM in psychiatry from Mumbai University and received FRCPsych from (UK) , FRCPC (academic accreditation) in Canada and fellowship of the American Psychiatric Association. He has worked with professional organisation, psychiatric journals and clinical program development . He is also recipient of several international awards and published books and research papers including a five volume handbook, ‘Suicide from a Global Perspective’ . One of the non-fiction book is ‘Mind Matters- A psychiatrists Narration(2018), which is a compilation of stories of people with mental illnesses. His latest publication is a handbook, ‘schizophrenia treatment Outcome – An evidence-based approach to Recovery’ and ‘science of success’
